Driving Florida’s Forgotten Coast is something I’ve wanted to do for years. For a couple of days, my cousin Dana & I roamed Port St Joe, Apalachicola & Cape San Blas while Chris was gator hunting!
After he got his gator, they packed & I decided to take the long way home.
For me, there is nothing more thrilling than being on the road, exploring new places!
FLORIDA’S FORGOTTEN COAST

Fired Kitchen Pizza!
❤️Cape San Blas-beautiful beach & dolphins!
❤️Apalachicola-small town vibe, tons of shops & great eats!
❤️❤️St. George Island-my favorite beach, breathtaking 22mile barrier island, no high rise condos & St. George Island State Park!
💛Carrabelle-beaches, river,
marshes & golf.
💛Wakulla County
💛McIntyre
💛Sopchoppy-Sopchoppy Depot, GF&A Railroad/ GA, FL & AL Railroad/ locally known as “Gopher, Frog & Alligator” line.
💛Ochlockonee Bay
💛Panacea-visited for its mineral springs in early 1900s/ horse drawn Panacea Tram.
❤️❤️St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge-it took my breath away! It was so deserted, wild & breathtaking! I did NOT want to leave. & was hot as…
❤️❤️St. Marks Lighthouse-oh, the history! & an absolutely perfect ending to my drive!
✔️My next trek to Florida’s Forgotten Coast will include Shell Point & Alligator Point & a ride through Tate’s Hell State Forest. Being unfamiliar with the area, I felt I needed to save it until I had a companion with me.
